This Substack doesn’t follow any strict format, agenda, or schedule. When I get interested in something, I write about it. After enough time working on a piece, I’ll decide whether or not to share it.

So far, I’ve written about:

  • My travels. When I write about my travels, I often deliver composites of people and places. This isn’t journalism; it’s me trying to tell you how a city felt.

  • What I’ve read/watched recently. I gravitate towards consuming and thinking about fiction, but there’ll be plenty of exceptions.

About me: Hi, my name is David. I studied English Lit at ASU and then got my MFA in Creative Writing (Fiction) at Lesley University, where I wrote under the tutelage of A.J. Verdelle, Hester Kaplan, and Rachel Kadish. I’ve published both poetry and prose, and I am currently working on a novel about digital nomadism1. (You can learn more on davidklose.info.)

In 2021, I left the US to live as a digital nomad, staying in cities such as Sofia, Porto, Vienna, Leipzig, Krakow, Tbilisi, Bangkok, and Seoul. Now I spend most of my time in Paris.
